Bath and De-shed

Shedding

We love our dogs, but we don’t always love the heaps of hair they leave in our homes. We can minimize this by removing all hair that is ready to come out.

A standard bath includes a double shampoo, deep condition, blow dry, brushout and fluff finish. This removes the friction and tangles that keep hairs on the dog, and ensures all shedding undercoat is released.

Heavy indoor blow-outs are done inside a pop up tent, minimizing the mess in your home.

Included services

  • Getting your pup squeak clean not only helps them smell their best, but also helps release undercoat

  • Conditioning the coat and skin keep them soft and hydrated as well as help release undercoat

  • A high powered dryer removes any and all coat that is ready to release, as well as gives your pup a fluffy finish

  • Light tangles and small matts can usually be brushed out. Tight matts and tangles in very sensitive areas are usually trimmed.

  • Ears are cleaned gently with a cotton ball, or flushed with ear cleaner to remove heavier buildup. Plucking is available upon request when recommended by your vet

  • Trimming the hair in front and right above your dogs eyes, necessary for maintaining good vision.

  • The hair around the rear and groin area is trimmed short to promote tidy elimination.

  • Trimming the hair on the paw pads as well as tidying the hair on the top and sides of feet.

  • Nail are trimmed to remove length and also filed to smooth.

  • If the hair isn’t quite ready to come out, sometimes the bath and blow dry are not quite enough to remove all the possible undercoat. In this case I will do additional brushing with a slicker brush, comb and undercoat rake to preserve the health of the coat.

  • Blowing out a double coated dog indoors can be an absolute mess, that is why I have a mesh tent to contain the hair and avoid extensive cleanup.
